November 2023 Parish Meeting

There will be a Parish Meeting on Tuesday 28th November 2023 at 6.30 pm in the Church. This meeting has been called by Caroline Gatrell ---public rights of way Devon County Council regarding the Definitive Map Review for public rights of way for the parish. There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer session.

The Meeting has just received a quite lengthy document from our MP the RT. Hon. Geoffrey Cox K.C.  M.P for Torridge & West Devon requesting information from the Meeting and Parishioners including a Roads Petition and some aspects of levelling Up Partnership Priorities. He is also requesting our personal views about the service currently being provided (or not !) regarding Royal Mail performance in our area as well as any issues with Broadband coverage. We will take notice and record your views at the meeting and pass these on to Geoffrey Cox in due course. The Roads Petition has to be returned by the end of January 2024. Please note that the petition document has to be signed individually and requires full name + address + Postcode for it to be valid before being presented before Parliament. Copies of the Petition will be available at the meeting for signature or to take away and returned later on after any additional signatures have been appended.
